My weekend thoughts.

What a weekend…From Miami to Chi town and back. I won’t be traveling till July. I am kind of happy about that. The prep starts for Zion Max Santoyo. He is scheduled to arrive July 10th. Our family is getting so big.  If it weren’t big enough already, I was surprised with an early fathers day gift.

I have always wanted a Weimaraner. This pup is a combo of a Weimaraner and an American Bulldog. One of my wife’s friends called her asking if we wanted one? She jumped on the offer and now we have a little pup runnin around. Hey, were always down for a challenge…That is exactly what it is… All we need now is the white picket fence. Life is full of Challenges. We had a great family day today. We had some great food, hit the pool and thought alot of the future. I feel like we are stepping into a new season as a family. It is scary on many different levels, but I am looking above for strength and courage. We’ve crossed many bridges before and this will be another. I am inspired to do more, give more, and be more with what I have been given.

I got to spend some time in Chi-town with some amazing people doing great things for this planet and the cause of Christ. I shared the stage with a good friend and ALERT music.  Countless conversations over coffee have planted revolutionary seeds in our hearts. I can’t wait to see them grow and take shape. My buddy Joel started a great movement in Chi town at “the room”. Great word, great place, great people. Great things in the making for Christ. It was also cool to see some friends i haven’t seen since grade school. Good times. I got to show the city to some of our South Florida peeps. It was cool. Except for the drive by’s and arrest tackle on Michigan ave.Photobucket

Sunday at LPC was great. I sat back looked around and saw how much I love this place and what is happening, both in Homestead and Plantation Key. I love the fact that my family joins me every week and experiences lives been changed. Love the fact that my little boy see’s his Dad on stage singing to someone greater than the mountains and the sea’s. I pray he grows up to be passionate about Jesus like I try to be… Last night I finally lay in bed and felt so blessed.

Today we planned the prep for baby Zion, from setting up the crib, washing clothes and sheets, room arrangements. Lots to do in these next few weeks. Afterwards we spent the rest of the day with our Cuban famil, Enrique, Anna, and Annie. Had some amazing food, crashed the pool with Diego, watched movies and just relaxed a little more.

The curse of being a dreamer is that it is so difficult to sleep at night. My mind races at the thought of the “next” thing. The next song, the next word, the next move, the next road, the next challenge. During the day I am too occupied living in the moment and making it count. But when the sun goes down, and the world gets quiet my mind, heart, body and soul kick into over drive. How can I lead my tribe to a new level, how can I get there first and scope out the land…and tell everyone about it…those are my thoughts tonight. If you have read this far you are a trooper!!!

Peace out and be well…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
