I am a Latino born and raised in Chicago, “Pilsen”, to be specific. I must admit it was a rough living back in the day, but I cherish it forever and hope to return one day. I am 28 years old and have a passion for the arts and people. I am married to the most amazing Woman in the world, my high school sweetheart and best friend Reina. She’s the coolest and hottest chic I’ve ever met!!lol
I am currently the Worship and Creative arts pastor for life pointe church in Homestead FL.
I am a proud father to my first son Diego Alexander Santoyo. Its amazing how much you can love someone. He’s going to change the world like his daddy! He’s a blessing and i know God already has a plan for him… It’s an amazing feeling to have someone to pass the legacy down to! I am a self taught musician, and singer. I have a band called “the saturn project”. I play guitar, piano and sing in the group. I write and compose my own music, but have no theory background. I create all by ear. My band is often compared to U2 and Coldplay, but overall I think we’re unique in what we do and create. I have also been playing drums since I was 10 years old…yeah do the math. I have a deep passion for writing and making stories come alive both in song and poetry. I come from 100′s of years of artists, poets, and musicians in my family tree and recently found and discovered my original ancestors carrying the name Santoyo came from a town in Spain called Santoyo. Cool huh? Let me see, I love all types of music and try a bit of it all! I have also worked on various local projects, both as a recording artist/musician as well as producer. I am a Columbia College Chicago graduate, my degree is in TV production. I was currently working for Univision Chicago, a local Spanish news station as news director. I have a passion for meeting people. Diversity is amazing! Lets see…. I hope to eventually study theatre. I’ve always had an interest in acting so why not give it a shot. I also plan to attend Seminary sometime soon. I have worked on the set of a few major motion films as an extra( the break up, lake house and quebec ). I am currently writing a film as well as many other creative projects.
I haven’t been too fond of religion these days, considering the damage many have done to innocent families and genuine people through out my years of Living. “Christ” is the one and only role model for me, and the one and only person I do my best to Live like…. It is quite difficult at times but I try!
I have plans to change the world somehow. Not sure how I will do, but the big man upstairs always makes a way for me. Somehow he has called me to Florida, so my family and I now live there where we serve as the creative arts and music directors. Its a pretty neat gig. Someday everything will make sense. I led an artists group called “The living room sessions”in Chicago and look to launch one in Miami. Come check either of them out. I guess that’s it for now…Any questions?
